Park Hyatt - Beaver Creek

We promised our kids a “snow trip.” Three of the four of us had never been snow skiing before. So I knew when researching hotels, we had to have something nice and something that helped make skiing easy. The Park Hyatt hit the mark!

This is a great family place. The hotel is very nice and cozy. We found the hotel staff to be attentive to all the details of our stay. The hotel restaurant's staff (8100 Mountainside Grille) is a different story. The staff at this restaurant was awful both times we ate there. However, I will not allow that to take away from our experience with the hotel itself.

I don't know if you could beat the location, especially since we were all beginners. This hotel is a ski in and out. It is next to ski school and the Centennial lift. Plus, the ski valet! WOW! Now I don't think I can travel with skiing any other way.

The Park Hyatt offered a nice fire pit with S'mores from 4pm to 5pm everyday. This was a fun way to finish skiing. Just below the Park Hyatt is the Beaver Creek Village. It was easy to access. I felt the location of the Park Hyatt was just perfect for our family.

The hotel provided bottled water in the room as well as free WiFi. Plus a towel warmer mounted on the bathroom wall as well as a humidifier in every room. These are little things but can make a big difference.

View from our room

This Beaver Creek hotel can be pricey when traveling during snow season. Yet, the Hyatt credit card was a great way to help off-set these costs as they offer free nights each year for being a card holder. We did the free nights through the Hyatt card. Our room didn't have slope side views, but we didn't mind. These Florida kids liked seeing the snow falling no matter where we were. If you have followed my blog, then you have heard me refer to hotel rooms as "standard rooms," meaning they have 2 standard beds, a simple desk, and basic bathroom. This room fell into the "standard room" category. Yet, it wasn't a problem for us. The room was clean and great service. After a full day of skiing, everyone was ready to fall into bed at the same time.

TravelLady Rating: All four of us loved the Park Hyatt at Beaver Creek and look forward to another trip there! We highly recommend this property as you consider your hotel for a snow/ski trip.
