Acknowledging a Hotel for Doing the Right Thing
I haven't blogged in a few weeks because our family had an unexpected medical emergency. Our reservation was made at Hammock Beach Resort. We were within the cancelation period, so no refund was available. Our car was packed; we were ready to drive away and relax at the beach and pool for a few days. However, M woke up and was not able to walk. He ended up having an infection in a leg muscle and was admitted to the hospital for 5 days.
Hammock Beach Resort listened to what was going on with us and happily refunded our reservation. What a great thing for them to do! This is a little shout out to them! Thank you Hammock Beach Resort! We appreciate you and will be back for our visit sometime soon!
This is M being taken from the ER to his hospital room. He doesn't look too pitiful here. But I will tell you that he had some good drugs at this point. And believe me when I tell you that he heard he wasn't going to Hammock Beach Resort, he was super disappointed!
And for those asking, M is doing well now. He has been home for a few weeks. He has several follow up appointments. However, he seems to be feeling great and the leg appears to be healing!
